Your recipes in Ajimi

If someone saved one of your recipes to Ajimi, here is exactly what happened and what you can do about it.

What a save actually is

A person cooking dinner found your recipe, tapped share, and sent that one link to Ajimi. Ajimi read the ingredients and steps and saved them to that person’s own phone, as a note they can cook from. One recipe, one person, one tap. There is no bulk collection, no crawling of your account, and no way for anyone to import your catalogue.

Where your recipes live

On that person’s device. Ajimi is local-first: saved recipes sit in a private library on their phone, visible only to them. There is no public feed of saved recipes, no shared library, and no way for one user to browse what another has saved. We do not store your photos. We do not keep your written introduction, your story, or your prose — the personal writing that makes your post yours stays on your post. What gets saved is the ingredient list and the steps, restructured into our own format.

Your name stays on it, permanently

Every saved recipe keeps your name or your site and a tappable link back to your original. Not buried in a settings screen — on the recipe card, and again on every step of Cook Mode, while the person is standing at the stove actually making your food. That is the moment someone is most likely to follow you. We send it back to you deliberately.

When someone cooks your recipe, they can share that they made it. The share names you, links to your original and lists their changes by name, like “lower-carb · 2 swaps”, but never the ingredient amounts or the steps. Creators who opt out are never named.

Adapted versions are never attributed to you

Ajimi can adapt a recipe to someone’s dietary needs — gluten-free, dairy-free, scaled for two. When that happens, the result is labelled Adapted by Ajimi and lists the substitutions made. Your name appears as the source of the original, never as the author of a version you did not write.

If you would rather we did not

Email [email protected] from the address you use publicly, or send us a message from the account itself. We will reply within two business days explaining exactly what we hold and answering any questions. If you still want out after that, we will verify you control the account and stop all future imports from it.

One thing we cannot do, and want to be straight about: recipes already saved to someone’s phone stay on their phone. Ajimi does not have remote access to a person’s private library, and we will not build it. Removal stops everything going forward.

If you would rather we did more

Creators in our program get a verified badge, a monthly breakdown of how their recipes are actually being cooked — how many people made a dish gluten-free, how many scaled it down — and codes to give their own audience. Free, no commission, no contract. The breakdown is counts only: never who cooked your dish, never where, and never anything else in their cookbook.
